I strive to uphold the values of the Vietnamese and broader community, and to make a positive difference that will be felt here and abroad. I am also committed to continue working with others to create a positive difference for our people and the environment.
I approach the future with optimism and enthusiasm, and embrace the challenges that come with it.
I look forward to creating a legacy alongside you that we can all embrace.
Our Vision
To assist and positively impact people from multicultural backgrounds, especially Vietnamese people, to have a prosperous and connected community at Darra and nearby suburbs.
Our Purpose
As a friendly, safe and welcoming community centre, we emphasise on offering opportunities that enrich people’s lives and support them to engage, connect and develop.
Our History
The Vietnamese Community in Australia - Queensland Chapter Inc. (VCA-QLD) is a community association. It was formed since 1979 but was formally incorporated in February 1988. The VCA-QLD together with similar associations in other states, are members of the national body: the Vietnamese Community in Australia.
We host many activities in the centre through the year. We also encourage business and community groups to contact us if they would like to hire the hall.
Language and embraced is vital to having a healthy lifestyle. The centre prides itself on hosting educational classes for people of all ages, backgrounds, and financial statues.
VCA-QLD members and volunteers co-ordinate many events and formal functions for the community and at Inala Multicultural Art Gallery throughout the year.
Our very caring staff are ready to assist members of our community who are seeking emergency relief.
